Dr. Tab E. Thompson graduated with his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, after attending the University of Georgia on a Foundation Fellowship. He then completed a general surgical internship and a residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Thompson also received an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC, in 2008.

A Palmetto State native, Tab was a University of Georgia Foundation Fellow graduating with honors. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and served as an assistant to the U.S. Surgeon General in Washington, D.C. while in medical school. An ENT surgical residency at the Medical College of Virginia followed. He later obtained his MBA from the George Washington University. As a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society and American Academy of Otolaryngology​, he often attends national and international conferences, staying current with the latest advancements in the field.
